The Singer Sacks The Band And Employs Musos Album

A few years ago I decided not to waste my short life questioning the fine details of Christianity. Of course, it is very important to question, to research, to gain knowledge etc and this should not stop. However, in my case the cynicism outweighed the knowledge.

My questioning was usually born out of thought or observation. Which meant the answer I gave myself was based on guesswork, sometimes 'pub talk', and so often it would become self-referential. Some days I'd be satisfied, some days left questioning. Too frustrating. There have been countless others before me who have devoted their entire lives trying to fathom the fine detail. Countless others who are educated betterer, considered more intelligent and certainly better read and for me to reach their level of understanding, let alone surpass it, would be impossible. These countless others would too find their answer and then have another question. Whether at surface level or at a deep philosophical level, the questions never stop.

I decided I needed to draw a line. A point where I could rest. I will always have questions and will never have all the answers, no. one. will.

So if one of the mistakes I make in life is having faith, so what.

  1. Good for you. Some of us think too much.

  2. And by the way, your blogposts are echoing, above all others, the career of Fish. You’re not going to end up in the position of “novelty Somersetshire person” are you?
